Once you’ve completed your 40-hour Aceable pre-license course and ensured that you meet all application eligibility requirements, you can begin the application process!
Simply go to this website and click “Register for a New Account”. Follow the step-by-step directions on the screen to submit your real estate salesperson application.
A few details to keep in mind:
- Your application will cost $88, and this fee cannot be refunded if your application is denied for any reason.
- When you apply, you may indicate who your employing broker will be, but you aren’t required to. If you don’t have an employing broker yet, you can simply leave this section on your application blank and submit this form when you find one - remember, this is a requirement to earn your license! When you pass your state licensing exam, LARA will mail your wall license and picture pocket license to your employing broker.
- If you do not have a social security number at the time of your application, you can enter 0000 in that section of your application. You will receive an “Incomplete Notice” letter, along with a copy of the SSN Affidavit for Licensure. You must send this form along with the incomplete notice back to the State of MIchigan in order for your application to be processed.
- Are you a veteran? As a thank you for your service, the state of Michigan will waive your application fee! Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 517-241-0199 to request a paper application.
Once you submit your application, you have 1 year to pass your state licensing exam and wrap up the process of getting your real estate salesperson license - you’ll be crushing your new career goals in no time!
