You must have:
- Completed all 180 hours of required pre-licensing education
- Filed your application, fee, and course completion certificates with TREC
- Received your Eligibility Letter from TREC (this contains your TREC ID number which is needed for fingerprinting and your Pearson VUE exam registration)
- Scheduled and attended your fingerprinting appointment
You can take your licensing exam without needing to wait for TREC to receive your background check results and fingerprints. As long as you have already attended your fingerprinting appointment and had your fingerprints taken, you can schedule and take your licensing exam.
Remember: you have one year from the date you submitted your application to TREC to pass your licensing exam!
