Effective January 1, 2024, CA Department of Real Estate has updated the requirements for the Real Estate Practice course to meet SB 1495. On Nov 30, 2023, Aceable released a new version of our California Pre-License courses that are in compliance with the new regulations!
Students enrolled in our California Pre-License course prior to November 30, 2023 will need to complete these incomplete course before December 12, 2023 in order for the education credits to remain valid. This includes your course final exams.
What is SB 1495?
This is a bill passed by the CA Senate that requires the salesperson license education to include a component on implicit bias, and state and federal fair housing laws. Additionally, the CA DRE has added that there must be an interactive component added to the course.
What if I do not complete it by December 12?
If you do not complete by December 12th, the new course will be added to any bundles purchased prior to approval and not completed by December 12th.
Will I have to pay more?
No, if you purchased your bundle that includes the Practice course, you can complete the old course prior to December 12th or once the new course is approved Aceable will add the new course to your account at no additional charge.
