What are the steps to becoming a Real Estate sales associate in Florida?

 In order to become a licensed real estate sales associate in Florida, you’ll need to:

  1. Check your eligibility. You must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent education, and have a Social Security number to hold a Real Estate license in Florida.
  2. Complete 63 hours of pre-license education. Your education is valid for 2 years from the completion date on your certificate.
  3. Get your fingerprints done. You must submit your fingerprints at least five days before submitting your application.
  4. Submit the Application for Sale Associate License to the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC).
  5. Ace the licensing exam! 

You’ll also need to find an employing broker in order to get your real estate salesperson license in Florida, but you can complete all of these steps before you find one.
