What is the difference between a Salesperson and a Broker?

In short: A broker has more experience, and more responsibility when it comes to Pennsylvania real estate.

Here are the details on becoming a licensed broker for the first time:

  • You must have at least 3 years of full time real estate salesperson experience under your belt
  • Complete 240 hours of specialized education
  • Pass a broker’s license exam
  • Accumulate a minimum of 200 “Experience Points” - these are earned by initiated and completed transactions.
