I have a felony or misdemeanor on my record. Can I still become a Real Estate Salesperson?

Long story short: The State of New York considers these applications on a case by case basis. A misdemeanor shouldn’t prevent you from getting a Real Estate license. Even with a felony on your criminal record it may still be possible to get a Real Estate license if you can obtain a Certificate of Relief from Disabilities or a Certificate of Good Conduct.
