What is the Eligibility Letter from TREC?

It is a letter of acceptance from TREC, meaning that you’ve been approved by TREC to continue on in the licensing process.

The Eligibility Letter is emailed to you within 2-3 weeks of submitting your application. It contains your TREC ID number, which is needed for you to sign up for your fingerprinting appointment and to schedule and take your exam with Pearson VUE (TREC’s testing provider). It also contains instructions for contacting Pearson VUE and obtaining a copy of Pearson VUE’s Candidate Handbook. The Candidate Handbook is an invaluable resource that covers information about the licensing exam and how to schedule it. There are also additional study materials available for purchase from Pearson Vue.
