While we recommend filing your TREC application online, it is possible to apply via mail through a paper application. Be aware that applying via mail will require a longer processing time and there is a possibility that your application could get lost in the mail. It’s simply easier and more secure to keep things digital and file your application online.
- Print and complete TREC’s Application for Inactive Real Estate Agent License. Fill out all required sections. You will need to provide your Social Security Number or your application could be denied. You can download the application by clicking here.
- Include your payment of $185 as the application fee. It is nonrefundable and must be submitted with the application. Only a single cashier’s check, personal check, or money order payable to TREC will be accepted.
- Print and include your AceableAgent completion certificates with your application.
- Mail it to this address:
Texas Real Estate Commission
P.O. Box 12188
Austin, TX 78711-2188 - If TREC requests any backup documentation, we strongly encourage you to provide it and get back to them as soon as possible to avoid further delays in the application process.
